    On today’s motocross bikes you do not need to work with the clutch when switching down gears. Don’t increase the risk for error of pulling in the clutch and coasting into corners. When you leave the clutch alone when down shifting on a four stroke you should have additional stopping power from the motors compression properly braking the dirt bike.
