The A.M. After: Twitter Wit Launch @powerHouseArena

Last night over 200 fans of the 140 character or less bon mot packed @powerHouseArena for @Nick ‘s launch party. While the Twitter crowd is well known for their digital socializing prowess, the freely-flowing Hornito’s tequila drinks and Bear Flag Wine provided for some face-to-face interaction as well.

The Wittiest Twitter

TwitterWit PB c

In honor of today’s publication of TWITTER WIT: Brilliance in 140 Characters or Less edited by Nick Douglas, we’re excited to announce a video contest offering you a chance to win an iPod touch. It’s pretty darn simple, actually, and a lot of fun (unless you really hate making short videos; in that case it’ll be a nightmare). You just go here, pick your favorite tweet, make a short video, send it to us, and wait on pins and needles. In the meantime, since your video is definitely the best one, we’d suggest making a list of all the great music and apps and videos you’re going to add to the shuffle once you win it.  Oh, and you’ll want to browse inside TWITTER WIT too. And buy it.

On the Internet, everybody knows you’re a cat.

Jack, not twittering.

Jack, not twittering. (photo: Joseph Papa)

Cats are twittering.  Yes, that’s what I said.  There are a lot of cats using twitter.

Some examples:

mommy and daddy went away last weekend, and now they’re going away again this weekend. i should punish them by peeing on their bed.

i got to play with my string this morning. today is already awesome.

i think i’d be good at the french horn.

the number one thing

that people say about me: that i’m so soft.

Today mommy cut Cathy cartoons out and hung them on the fridge.

Ha ha, I just made that last one up.   And I’m not really that mean.  If he had the time, my cat Jack would twitter, too.

I wonder if Twitter Wit: The Cat Edition is far behind …
